The Mariner

The Mariner has been places. Its brass carries the salt of Atlantic crossings, the oxidation of decades below deck. The gimbal mount still swings — a reminder that this lantern was built to stay lit in a storm.

We found it in a Portsmouth maritime salvage yard, still functional, its wick intact. We cleaned the glass, rewired the socket, and left everything else exactly as the sea left it.
